April 20 to 22 come to Annapolis and check out all the sailboats.
In the Spring and again in the fall Annapolis hosts a big “in-water” boat show. In the fall you get two shows (a sailboat and motorboat show) but in the spring just one. The Spring Sailboat Show.
Let me quote the show’s producer directly:
“Sailboat shows and Annapolis. They go together like the Naval Academy and Annapolis or rum in a punch bowl. Annapolis invented the in-water show in 1970 and the Annapolis Spring Sailboat Show carries on that age-old tradition. Still in its infancy and certainly not yet the size or maturity of the fall season granddaddy, this show continues to delight cruising and competitive sailors from around the country. With nearly 70 catamarans and monohulls in the water and another couple dozen boats on land, this show has become one of the largest sailing events in the country.”
The show takes place Friday through Sunday April 20 to 22 at the City Dock. With tickets just $12 this is a great way to spend an afternoon exploring boats, sailors and cool clothes.
See sailboats on display in the water and on land. New and brokerage boats including catamarans, monohulls, family cruisers, daysailors, and blue water sailboats.
The show has the latest in navigational equipment, hi-tech electronics, inflatables, boating accessories, clothing, hear and related services such as boating clubs, charter companies, insurance firms and lending institutions.
Sit, stand, paddle or sail. There is an exciting demo area along Ego Alley for viewing and testing small sailboats, kayaks, stand up paddle boards, inflatables.
